Iain is a young girl who is somewhat soft-spoken and formal. She had many friends who trusted her with their problems and secrets and she enjoyed that life. For the most part, her life was also calm and quite. She strove to eventually take on her father’s woodworking trade and helped her father around the shop.
Unfortunately, around her 17th birthday she fell extremely sick and over the course of the year she fell into a coma. During this time, her Father became desperate and contacted multiple doctors around the area, however none of them could fix what was happening—that is, until a strange new doctor moved into the area that seemed to be able to heal almost any ailment. Her father immediately contacted the doctor who then proceeded to take custody over Iain for a short time.
There was a catch however—the doctor dabbled in alchemy and found that an individual in a long-term comatose state would be ideal for a certain experiment he’d had in mind for quite some time. He had an old war golem, Gat, hidden away that had been an heirloom in his family, and he was set on reanimating it since he had been a child.
With this perfect opportunity, he eventually managed to transfer Iain’s soul into the golem, but destroyed Iain’s body in the process, rendering it impossible for her soul to be transferred back.
When Iain’s father found Iain “dead”, he blamed the doctor, and in a violent rage, killed first the doctor and then himself.
Iain, now Gat, left the village confused, depressed, and unnoticed, and has been forced to adjust to her new circumstances herself.
